Leading Sustainable Transportation

Transport keeps the world moving. People travel, goods are exchanged, ideas spread.

For more than 90 years, we have been at the forefront of innovation for transportation, enabling people and goods to get from A to B in a reliable, safe and efficient way. And that makes us an important part of society.

Now, we have reached a new era. Today, 7% of CO2-emissions worldwide are caused by the commercial vehicle industry. We acknowledge the responsibility, and we want to be part of the solution. We view sustainability holistically as an integral part of our core business and our corporate behavior. We want to decarbonize transportation and drive the industry-wide transformation. We thus act and take responsibility for the benefit of our PLANET and the PEOPLE – based on the foundation of a successful business PERFORMANCE.

We are building the way forward. For all who keep the world moving – today and tomorrow.

FUSO, as part of Daimler Truck, is clearly committed to the Paris Climate Agreement. We want to make sustainable transportation a success and contribute to climate and environmental protection.

We take responsibility towards society and our employees. Where we can make a contribution to change something for the better, we do it.

We envisage that business performance, unlocking profit potentials and sustainability initiatives go hand in hand, ensuring that our responsibility for people and the planet is integrated into our core business.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

For FUSO, sustainability means permanently creating value for all stakeholder groups: for customers, employees, and investors as well as for our business partners and society. The United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”) guide our commitment to sustainable development and respect for human rights. Moreover, with our participation in the United Nations Global Compact, we are committed to support human rights, respect the rights of employees and their representatives, and protect the environment.

  • In our own units and the supply chain, we will develop and implement a risk-based management approach to protect human rights and provide decent working conditions.
