Kawasaki, Japan MFTBC Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer under Daimler Trucks, today entered a comprehensive partnership agreement with Kawasaki City to further deepen regional cooperation.
With Kawasaki City as a playing field and drawing on mutual physical, intellectual and human resources, MFTBC and Kawasaki City will join forces in tackling global challenges and shaping an environmentally-friendly society by promoting technological innovation.
Together, MFTBC and Kawasaki City are committed to build a safe and sustainable city. Under the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement, MFTBC and Kawasaki City pledged to promote:

Located in Kawasaki’s Nakahara Ward, MFTBC’s main plant was established in 1941, at that time as part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Initially producing marine engines and parts for the aircraft industry, MFTBC now manufactures light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and buses as well as industrial engines. From its factory, MFTBC ships its products throughout Japan, while trucks and buses sold overseas are either shipped to over 170 markets around the world as built units (BU) from the Higashi Ogishima Logistic Center or as knock-down kits (KD) from the Higashi Ogishima KD Packing Center, both located in Kawasaki-ku. Last year, MFTBC celebrated a milestone of 2 million trucks and buses shipped from Kawasaki and assembled overseas since 1970.
