Kawasaki, Japan MFTBC Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer under Daimler Trucks, was announced as the winner of the Asia Legal Business Japan Law Award 2018 in the category, Japan Manufacturing and Retail In-house Legal Team, at a ceremony held in Tokyo on June 13th.
The award recognized the achievements of MFTBC’s Legal Dept. in the launch of the all-electric “eCanter” light-duty truck and MFTBC’s all-electric brand E-FUSO, which was a multi-faceted effort involving issues related to law, R&D, production, sales, customer service and other competencies. The award specifically recognized the MFTBC Legal Dept.’s cross-functional efforts to realize a global launch for the all-electric vehicle, including handling legal matters for various jurisdictions worldwide in a complete and accurate way.
The Legal Dept. has been supporting MFTBC’s business operations in over 170 markets as legal experts, and will continue to work together as a strong team in order to support MFTBC’s diverse businesses.
The award was organized in various markets by the international legal magazine “Asia Legal Business”. It recognizes the achievements of law firms and corporate legal departments that further develop and enhance the legal field in Asia, and 2018 marks its 14th year.
